Philosophy
At the Rocky Mountain Hockey School, we provide instruction for a wide variety of ages. The hockey school accommodates ages six through fourteen in separate sessions. Students are placed in the appropriate session according to their age and ability. Class sizes are limited to 25 students, thus ensuring greater individual instruction from our experienced staff. The basics of hockey are emphasized: skating, puck control (stick handling, shooting, passing receiving) and checking.
Each age group receives two ice sessions per day. The Skating, Shooting and Conditioning Program is developed for players 12-14 years old, who plan to take on a more advanced program. Off-ice activities include organized hiking, swimming and fitness training as well as seminars on nutrition and video analysis. Our off-ice instructors are experienced in their duties and provide a safe and friendly atmosphere for the students in our school. The most important part of the R.M.H.S is for our students to have fun and meet new friends.
